This show is a bit more than “Northern Exposure” meets “Doc Martin”, though it has the same elements.
The show has 2 to 3 stories per episode which keeps things interesting. Obviously, Dr. Knight’s exile to his hometown Whyhope makes things interesting in itself. Within the show, you have at least 2 groups where there is some tension –his family with his domineering mother and the hospital personnel which include some interesting characters and situations. Then there are his childhood friends which include one he is trying to save.
Going out to see patients by air makes for many interesting situations. There are an unlimited number of situations to grow this show. It is a very enjoyable show with an occasional twist.
