Class is a dangerous and delicate effort, but a lot of fun. It may not have much to offer anyone who isn't already a fan of Dr. Who, but it may serve as the gateway drug that locks the Who universe in for another decade.
Flower, and Deutch, will never get enough eyes on their effort here, and the lack of subtlety makes it easy to dismiss, but this is one of the more thoughtful and entertaining films trying to examine adolescence and adolescents in a while.
Life doesn't quite live up to its name, and despite all the stars involved it never shakes the feeling of a student film. The alien is ultimately silly, because it has to do everything, though for no real reason, but it has a few moments.
Beauty and the Beast is a no-brainer as a business decision, but fantastically dangerous as a move by a company that can't afford to ruin a story that helps drive its park dollars. Disney won out here, making a classic even better.
