Moonrise Kingdom – 6 New Clips Plus Interactive Character Posters

During the last episode of our Internet Radio Show/Podcast, it was brought to my attention, by none other than Christopher Lominac, a contributor here, that I had forgotten to mention Moonrise Kingdom among the upcoming films we were examining. For some reason, I apparently had the film in my mind as coming out quite a bit after it actually does.

To make it up to the film, I thought I better jump on the chance to offer up some new clips, and since I’m here, I thought I should show off the interactive posters as well.

It comes out on May 25th, and that will definitely be the film we review that week on our show (assuming it is hitting wide enough to reach us).

These clips give you a fair sense of what’s going on with the film, so sit back for a few minutes and get familiar with what I predict is going to turn out to be one of the treats of the summer.

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.

MacGyver is right in line with a slew of network offerings that are after the stupid market, believing they are out there and need shows too, but it's one step from self-mockery and all but unwatchable.
