Under a new rhyming scheme spin-off model for new shows, you’ll soon be able to watch The Choice, and see celebrities submit themselves to a blind date experiment. It’s The Voice‘s “no see” format, but now eligible celebrities are choosing potential romantic partners.
It’s bound to be crazy, and some of the “celebrities” only have loose ties to the claim, but it certainly looks to be the sort of madness people will check out.
Is this show too much? Let me know your thoughts. This falls into a category of reality that I find hard to predict, and I’d love to know if people are looking forward to it.
Catch the list of celebrities below, and then watch a new sneak.
Hosted by Cat Deeley, THE CHOICE is the ultimate blind date for celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes competing for the hearts of attractive singles-they can’t see. Following a blind date format means that the prospective partners will have only the other’s mind, personality, and points of view upon which to base their opinion. One of the beautiful things about humanity is that we can have unique points of view. But, “if your partner makes you feel bad for thinking a certain way, or will not listen to your perspective, this is a problem,” says DatingPilot. As long as your perspective doesn’t entail causing physical or emotional harm to someone or something else, you should be able to have your own opinion, and you should be able to voice it. If you find that you are at political or religious odds with the person you are dating and it causes points of contention, it might mean that you are not a good match and would be better pursuing other mates. Perhaps the blind dates will mean that this can be mitigated as incompatibility can be confirmed before a relationship is pursued.

Filmed in front of a live audience, each episode begins with four of the world’s most eligible bachelors sitting in rotating chairs, turning their backs on love and unable to see the attractive singles looking for a date with fame. In this initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity can only use his suitors’ voices – as they share information about their life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs – to help himself make THE CHOICE. When the celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his “love handle,” spinning his chair around to bring him face-to-face for the first time with his potential mate. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out for her affection until the attractive single gets THE CHOICE to pick whose dating pool she wants to swim in.
Once each bachelor has his three hotties, the teams enter the “Speed Choice” round, where each woman has only seconds to convince her leading man to sweep her off her feet to the final round.
In the final round, love is on the line when host Cat Deeley poses a challenge question to each of the team’s final two. The celebrities must then make THE CHOICE between each of their two remaining eligible ladies, whisking one away on a dream date and leaving one in no man’s land.
