RU? Instant Reaction Review Podcast Ep. 99 – Divergent & The Grand Budapest Hotel

Divergent was better than we expected, even if it wasn’t what we thought we were getting from the trailer, but The Grand Budapest Hotel blew us away. We actually go on quite a bit more about Divergent, probably because we felt so bad that technical difficulties ruined our show the week before, but I have to say that the film deserved it. There’s something going on with that one, and you might not expect it going in.

It does have a lot of problems though, one of which is simply that it can’t decide exactly how much it wants to demand that you read the book beforehand, which can be the kiss of death.

The Grand Budapest Hotel fell apart to a certain degree for me, but I loved it up until a certain point. Whatever problems I had didn’t effect Shane, and he had nothing but praise for it.
