First off, there are a lot of movies that aren’t going to show up on this list because while they may have huge budgets, and a lot of people might actually be anticipating them, they are likely to be average at best and potentially rather awful. You’ve been warned.

That out of the way, The Lego Batman Movie has a lot going for it, but the biggest draw is simply the incredible surprise that was The Lego Movie. Will Arnett is joined by an impressive cast – including Ralph Fiennes, Jenny Slate, and Michael Cera – and, though we don’t have Lord and Miller directing, we get Chris McKay, who edited the original.
