No one really needs a reason to get excited for this one, but Marvel is going to try anyway. Putting out some clips/trailers with whimsical moments involving Drax is a good way to go, and tiny Groot isn’t going to hurt either.

Still, if you need a reason, there’s the weird Comic-Con reveal by James Gunn –

If we lived in a perfect world, I wouldn’t tell you ANYTHING before you walked in to see Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. I wouldn’t tell you Groot was now Baby Groot, I wouldn’t tell you Mantis was in the movie, I wouldn’t say that Ayesha and Taserface are our antagonists, that Yondu and Nebula have incredibly important roles in the film, nor would I tell you that Quill’s father is Ego the Living Planet.

Or, the world has gone a little screwy, and everything is up for grabs. It’s bound to be one of the best times in theater this year, but some fans are probably going to wonder about switching up the universe willy-nilly.
