The Good Wife has always had its ups and downs, mostly because its own premise meant that it did a lot of dancing around, but season six is clearly when it all starts falling apart, and while still worthwhile to serious fans, it just isn't the same show.
Hail, Caesar! is one of the Coen efforts that is far more for them than any audience. It's rambling and meaningless, without narrative focus, and they've built such a name for themselves that actors are shoving each other out of the way to get on board.
It's a movie that doesn't give you what you might be looking for, but is decent, escapist fun when you're searching for family friendly offerings.
