Doozers is the children's show you've been waiting for, and it lives up to the expectations you ought to have for anything from the Jim Henson Company and/or anything related to Fraggle Rock. It's a surefire win with kids, and has the educational component behind it locked in.
Backstrom is one of those rare shows that I have no problem recommending to absolutely anyone. It isn't that I think everyone will like it, it's that I don't care if you end up not liking it. It's clever and the characters are all put together solidly, as opposed to focusing exclusively on the focal point.
Outlander delivers better than even those with high expectations had any right to expect. That's not because the books aren't good (I don't know), but because the translation to screen has so many mistakes to avoid. You can see the series avoiding them, and that's a kind of magic itself. It's fun, but has just the right amount of depth to keep you hooked.
