I’ve learned more than I ever wanted to about Brian Wilson over the years, mostly because old people liked The Beach Boys, and unlike a lot of other music old people liked, nothing about The Beach Boys ever brought me around.

That out of the way, I’m told (and, like I said, I’ve learned) that Wilson’s life is something a lot of people find to be interesting.

And, that out of the way, Love & Mercy has two of my favorite actors in it, playing the same guy, so it’s worth watching for that alone.

This is going to be an interesting effort, and it’s been getting attention lately, with people talking it up more than you might think for a film by producer come director Bill Pohlad, starring not quite the biggest names, about a guy that isn’t exactly a hot topic. That has to give you a fair amount of hope that the thing is actually good.

Take a look below, and keep this one on your radar. It’s out on June 5th!
