RU? Instant Reaction Review Podcast Ep. 113 – The Purge Anarchy Review

The Purge Anarchy is clearly the biggest surprise of the year for us, and not just because it was better than we expected (which might have meant a rating in the 5 or 6 range), but because it was miles better than either of us expected.

If you haven’t caught this one, and especially if you don’t intend to, you might want to give it another look. Our expectations were thrown off because of the first film, and the trailers for this one, both of which are pretty misleading.

It isn’t really in the horror category, and the actors give a lot better effort than you probably imagine.

The Purge Anarchy Review

Frank Grillo is especially solid, despite the oddness and obviousness of the role, and the story is surprisingly fun. Entertaining and enjoyable, we had to admit that this one really worked. Even if neither of us could stand the ending. Well, you can’t have everything.

Of course, it’s also fairly goofy… by definition, but if you can’t let that slide, you’re in for a treat.

Give us a listen below, and let us convince you to check this one. And, subscribe share, and otherwise get people in the loop.
