RU? Instant Reaction Review Podcast Ep. 124 – Instellar, St. Vincent, & More

We took on several titles this week, as the end of the year approach started kicking off. We were already getting buried in awards season, and it was far away, so the hair-pulling was underway.

We dodged Dumber and Dumber, by combining other things, and we were back from a week off.

Interstellar managed to split us pretty well, and I still don’t have a lot of positive thoughts about it.

St. Vincent was a bit of a disappointment, and yet, it was still pretty awesome, so go figure that out.

This week also saw one of our first serious challenges from a listener, so that was a lot of fun, and I think we managed to live up to the demands.

Tim Roth's Tin Star is easily one of the best performances the year will offer, though the show itself doesn't quite live up to that. It's a wildly fun thriller, but it will make you uncomfortable to say that, and it's one you'll definitely find yourself wanting to binge.

Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce Review – Bravo

Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce is one of those rare shows that makes you get creative in order to figure out what potential you can say it might have, and that lives up to that potential. It's fun without having to stretch for its funny moments, and it leaves you to reflect on why its achingly real at times, instead of shoving "drama" in your face at every turn.
