Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just around the corner, and while the trailers and promos have finally revealed a fair amount of information, the whole concept of the film is somewhat elusive to those who aren’t (and aren’t interested in being) familiar with the comic world specific to this particular plotline.
Plus, there’s a little going on in this one, and why not have a handy cheat-sheet when it comes to putting everything in its place?
Worse, the whole thing seems to put Batman in a ridiculous position. Sure, Superman has managed to get himself into trouble worthy enough to keep a comic interesting for as long as he’s been around, but the old, “Hey, I found some Kryptonite,” gag gets old rather quick.
Besides, much as we can clearly get the general idea behind all the, “absolute power,” soundbites from the trailers… what’s Batman’s beef anyway? It’s not like Superman is spending his time robbing liquor stores and harassing old ladies. So, how do we get to the scenes in the trailers that show a very pissed (and pissy) Batman?
Well, you aren’t going to get all the answers here, but there’s nothing like a good infographic, so take a look, and get some of the background and bonuses that will get you up to speed on things.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams (“American Hustle,” “Man of Steel”) as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social Network”) as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane (“Unfaithful,” “Man of Steel”) as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne (“What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “Man of Steel”) as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons (“Reversal of Fortune”) as Alfred, and Holly Hunter (“The Piano”) as Senator Finch; and Gal Gadot (the “Fast and Furious” films) as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.
